Objective: The Certified Rehabilitation Counselor course is designed to equip professionals with the specialized knowledge and counseling skills required to support individuals with physical, emotional, developmental, or psychological disabilities in achieving personal, social, and vocational independence. The course focuses on rehabilitation principles, case management, vocational assessment, psychological counseling, disability rights and advocacy, and community resource coordination.
Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:
Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.
Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.
Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.
Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.
Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.
Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.
Assessment Modules:
Module 1: Foundations of Rehabilitation Counseling: Introduction to rehabilitation counseling and its scope, History and philosophy of the rehabilitation movement, Roles and responsibilities of a rehabilitation counselor, Ethical principles and professional standards (e.g., CRC Code of Ethics), Understanding disability from medical, social, and biopsychosocial models, Legal frameworks and disability rights (e.g., ADA, RPwD Act).
Module 2: Medical and Psychosocial Aspects of Disability: Overview of physical, sensory, cognitive, and psychiatric disabilities, Functional limitations and their impact on daily living, Psychosocial adjustment to disability and coping mechanisms, Chronic illness, pain management, and rehabilitation strategies, Role of medication and assistive technologies, Family dynamics and cultural considerations in disability support.
Module 3: Assessment and Vocational Evaluation: Types and purposes of rehabilitation assessments, Administering and interpreting standardized tools, Functional capacity and transferable skills assessment, Vocational interest inventories and career planning, Work readiness and job-matching techniques, Documentation, goal setting, and progress tracking.
Module 4: Counseling Theories and Techniques: Person-centered and cognitive-behavioral counseling approaches, Crisis intervention and trauma-informed care, Motivational interviewing and solution-focused counseling, Group counseling and peer support facilitation, Developing individualized rehabilitation plans (IRPs), Enhancing self-esteem, resilience, and life skills.
Module 5: Employment and Community Integration: Supported employment and job coaching strategies, Working with employers and promoting inclusive workplaces, Disability accommodations and workplace adjustments, Community resources and independent living services, Transition services for students with disabilities, Advocacy and empowerment for client independence.
Module 6: Case Management and Professional Practice: Rehabilitation case management process and documentation, Multidisciplinary teamwork and client coordination, Referral networks and interagency collaboration, Ethical decision-making in complex cases, Time management, supervision, and burnout prevention, Continuing education, certifications, and career advancement pathways.
GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:
- Duration- 60 minutes.
- Number of Questions- 30.
- Number of Questions from each module: 5.
- Language: English.
- Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
- Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
- There is no negative marking in any module.
