Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Resort Manager course is designed to develop comprehensive management skills specific to resort settings, which combine hospitality, recreation, and destination services. The course covers resort planning and operations, guest experience management, room division and front office supervision, food and beverage coordination, leisure and activity program management, budgeting and cost control, marketing and sales strategies, and staff leadership. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Resort Management: Overview of resort types and classifications, Roles and responsibilities of a resort manager, Key differences between resort and hotel operations, Understanding resort guest profiles and expectations, Planning and organizing resort activities and experiences, Coordination between departments for smooth operations.

Module 2: Front Office, Guest Services, and Reservations: Managing reservations and booking systems, Check-in and check-out procedures for leisure and group guests, Handling VIPs, long-stay, and family guests, Concierge and tour desk services in a resort setting, Guest feedback collection and complaint resolution, Promoting guest engagement and loyalty programs.

Module 3: Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Facility Management: Standards for villa, suite, and public area upkeep, Coordination with engineering and maintenance departments, Managing pools, spas, recreation areas, and groundskeeping, Implementing eco-friendly housekeeping practices, Preventive maintenance scheduling and monitoring, Ensuring safety and hygiene compliance across facilities.

Module 4: Food and Beverage Operations: Managing resort restaurants, bars, and in-room dining, Theme nights, beach dining, and banquet arrangements, Coordination with chefs and service teams, Menu planning for varied guest demographics, Quality assurance in food safety and hygiene, Enhancing guest satisfaction through personalized F&B experiences.

Module 5: Recreation, Wellness, and Guest Engagement: Designing resort entertainment and wellness programs, Managing spa, fitness, and outdoor activities, Supervising children’s programs and family activities, Collaborating with local vendors and cultural performers, Seasonal and destination-specific activity planning, Promoting sustainable tourism and eco-resort initiatives.

Module 6: Financial Management, HR, and Marketing: Budgeting and forecasting for resort operations, Cost control, revenue management, and profit analysis, Recruiting and training resort staff, Creating marketing strategies for seasonal and international markets, Managing online presence, OTA listings, and social media, Compliance with licensing, safety, and tourism regulations.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
