Duration: One Month.

Eligibility: 10+2 Grade (Higher Secondary) or Equivalent is required.

Objective: The Certified Room Attendant course is designed to equip learners with the practical skills and knowledge needed to maintain guest rooms in hotels, resorts, and other lodging facilities. The course covers bed-making, bathroom cleaning, linen handling, replenishment of amenities, room inspection standards, and use of housekeeping equipment and chemicals.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Housekeeping and Room Attendant Role: Overview of housekeeping department functions, Duties and responsibilities of a room attendant, Types of rooms and guest expectations, Coordination with front office and maintenance teams, Room status terminology (occupied, vacant, DND), Professional grooming and behavior standards.

Module 2: Cleaning Procedures and Techniques: Daily cleaning process for occupied and departure rooms, Bed making standards and linen handling, Cleaning of bathroom fixtures and replenishing amenities, Dusting, vacuuming, and surface sanitization, Turn-down service procedures, Use of checklists and room inspection.

Module 3: Cleaning Equipment, Tools, and Supplies: Identification and use of manual and mechanical cleaning tools, Safe handling and maintenance of housekeeping equipment, Types and purposes of cleaning agents and chemicals, Mixing and storing cleaning supplies correctly, Waste disposal and recycling practices, Eco-friendly cleaning alternatives.

Module 4: Guest Interaction and Room Etiquette: Greeting and communicating politely with guests, Managing guest requests and preferences, Handling guest complaints and feedback, Respecting guest privacy and belongings, Procedures for entering and exiting guest rooms, Lost and found item handling protocol.

Module 5: Hygiene, Safety, and Sanitation Practices: Personal hygiene and infection control measures, Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Safe lifting and movement of supplies, Handling of hazardous materials and spills, Fire safety and emergency procedures, Compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.

Module 6: Work Organization and Quality Control: Understanding duty rosters and daily briefings, Time management and task prioritization, Reporting maintenance and repair needs, Room inspection and quality assurance standards, Stocking and organizing housekeeping carts, Documentation and housekeeping records maintenance.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
