Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified School Counsellor course is designed to equip educators and mental health professionals with the knowledge and skills to provide comprehensive guidance and support to students in academic, social, and emotional development. The program covers counseling theories, child and adolescent development, career guidance, mental health awareness, conflict resolution, crisis intervention, and ethical practices.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to School Counselling: Overview of School Counselling, Role of a School Counsellor, Key Terminology and Concepts, Importance of Counselling in Education, Ethical and Professional Responsibilities, Scope of School Counselling Practice

Module 2: Child and Adolescent Development: Cognitive, Emotional, and Social Development in Children, Adolescent Growth and Identity Formation, Learning Styles and Individual Differences, Behavioral Patterns and Milestones, Theories of Child and Adolescent Development, Application of Developmental Knowledge in Counselling

Module 3: Counselling Techniques and Strategies: Building Rapport and Trust with Students, Active Listening and Empathy, Individual Counselling Methods, Group Counselling Approaches, Conflict Resolution and Problem-Solving, Crisis Intervention Strategies

Module 4: Academic and Career Guidance: Academic Planning and Support, Identifying Student Strengths and Interests, Career Exploration and Counseling, Decision-Making and Goal Setting, College and Vocational Guidance, Integration of Life Skills Education

Module 5: Mental Health and Well-Being: Identifying Mental Health Concerns, Stress and Anxiety Management, Promoting Emotional Resilience, Supporting Students with Special Needs, Collaboration with Mental Health Professionals, Creating a Safe and Inclusive School Environment

Module 6: Professional Practice and Leadership: Ethical Standards and Professional Conduct, Record Keeping and Documentation, Policy Development and Compliance, Collaboration with Parents, Teachers, and Administrators, Continuous Professional Development, Leadership and Career Advancement in School Counselling

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
