Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The objective of the Certified Somatic Breathwork Practitioner course is to train individuals in the theory, practice, and facilitation of somatic breathwork techniques that integrate body awareness, emotional release, and nervous system regulation. This course combines principles from somatic psychology, trauma-informed care, and conscious breathing to help practitioners guide clients toward emotional healing, stress reduction, and greater embodied awareness. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Somatic Breathwork: History and origins of breathwork practices, The principles of somatic breathwork and its connection to the body-mind, Understanding the relationship between breath and emotional/physical states, The role of breath in trauma release and emotional healing, Overview of the nervous system and breath’s impact on autonomic functions, Benefits of somatic breathwork for stress, anxiety, and trauma relief.

Module 2: The Science and Physiology of Breath: Understanding the mechanics of breath (diaphragmatic, chest, and shallow breathing), How breath affects the autonomic nervous system (sympathetic vs. parasympathetic), The role of oxygen and carbon dioxide in emotional regulation, Breath’s influence on brain activity, How breathwork alters heart rate variability and reduces cortisol levels, Introduction to different types of breath patterns (e.g., circular, deep, conscious, and paced breathing).

Module 3: Core Somatic Breathwork Techniques: Exploring the core techniques used in somatic breathwork (e.g., conscious connected breathing, circular breathing), Step-by-step guidance for leading a breathwork session, Techniques for guiding participants through emotional release via breath, Working with different rhythms, depths, and speeds of breath to access altered states, How to create a safe and supportive environment for breathwork practice, Using sound and movement to enhance the breathwork experience.

Module 4: Trauma-Informed Breathwork Practice: Understanding trauma and its impact on the body and breath, How somatic breathwork facilitates trauma release and healing, The role of the facilitator in creating a safe space for trauma work, Managing emotional and physical releases during breathwork, Recognizing and addressing potential triggers or overwhelming experiences, Strategies for integrating and grounding after deep emotional release.

Module 5: Facilitating Group and Individual Breathwork Sessions: How to structure and lead individual breathwork sessions, Guiding group breathwork circles, Adapting breathwork techniques for different needs (stress, anxiety, trauma, personal growth), Reading the energy of the group and responding to varying dynamics, Providing feedback and support during and after a breathwork session, Best practices for guiding breathwork with compassion, intuition, and presence.

Module 6: Ethics, Professionalism, and Building Your Practice: Ethical considerations in breathwork practice (confidentiality, integrity, safety), Managing professional boundaries with clients and participants, How to establish trust and rapport with clients, Creating a sustainable breathwork practice (marketing, workshops, online presence), Continuing education and development as a breathwork practitioner, Self-care and maintaining personal well-being as a breathwork facilitator.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
