The program covers nutrient metabolism, hydration strategies, supplementation, diet planning for different sports and training phases, and the role of nutrition in injury prevention and rehabilitation.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Fundamentals of Sports Nutrition and Exercise Physiology: Introduction to sports nutrition and its role in athletic performance, Overview of energy systems and fuel utilization during exercise, Exercise physiology and adaptations to training, Macronutrient needs for athletes (carbs, proteins, fats), Nutritional periodization and training cycle planning, Hydration and electrolyte balance in sport.

Module 2: Nutritional Requirements for Different Sports and Athletes: Endurance vs. strength and power sport nutrition needs, Weight-class and aesthetic sport nutrition (e.g., wrestling, gymnastics), Team sports and intermittent activity fueling strategies, Youth and adolescent athlete nutrition considerations, Nutrition for female athletes and RED-S awareness, Nutrition planning for master/older athletes.

Module 3: Meal Planning and Nutrient Timing Strategies: Pre-, intra-, and post-workout nutrition guidelines, Designing daily meal plans for training and recovery, Nutrient timing and anabolic window utilization, Use of glycemic index/load in sports performance, Customizing plans for off-season, in-season, and competition, Addressing travel, training camps, and competition day nutrition.

Module 4: Supplements and Ergogenic Aids in Sport:Evidence-based use of performance supplements (creatine, beta-alanine, caffeine, BCAAs), Protein powders and meal replacements: types and usage, Hydration aids: electrolytes, sports drinks, glycerol loading, Regulation and safety of supplements (WADA, NSF certification), Evaluating marketing claims and supplement risks, Natural ergogenic foods and recovery aids.

Module 5: Body Composition, Weight Management, and Recovery: Assessing body composition in athletes (DXA, skinfolds, BIA), Safe strategies for weight gain and fat loss in athletes, Nutrition for muscle building and strength enhancement, Recovery nutrition protocols for glycogen replenishment and muscle repair, Managing disordered eating in athletes (orthorexia, RED-S), Periodized body composition management across a season.

Module 6: Practical Application, Ethics, and Professional Practice: Client assessment and goal setting for athletic populations, Working with coaches, trainers, and multidisciplinary teams, Creating educational material for athletes and teams, Ethics and scope of practice in sports nutrition, Legal considerations and anti-doping awareness, Career development and certification in sports nutrition practice.

  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
