Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Still Life Painter course aims to equip students with comprehensive skills and techniques required to create realistic and expressive still life paintings. The course focuses on mastering the fundamentals of composition, lighting, color theory, texture, and perspective specific to still life subjects. Students will learn to observe and depict everyday objects with precision, develop their own artistic style, and understand various painting mediums and tools.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Still Life Painting: History of Still Life Art, Importance and Purpose of Still Life, Basic Elements of Composition, Understanding Shapes and Forms, Introduction to Light and Shadow, Overview of Materials and Tools.

Module 2: Drawing Fundamentals for Still Life: Basic Sketching Techniques, Proportions and Scale, Contour Drawing, Gesture and Line Quality, Perspective in Still Life, Drawing from Observation.

Module 3: Color Theory and Mixing: Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Colors, Color Harmonies and Schemes, Understanding Value and Saturation, Color Temperature and Mood, Mixing Paints for Accuracy, Color Matching Techniques.

Module 4: Painting Techniques and Styles: Brushwork and Texture Creation, Layering and Glazing Techniques, Wet-on-Wet vs Wet-on-Dry, Impasto and Scumbling, Realism vs Impressionism in Still Life, Experimenting with Mixed Media.

Module 5: Light, Shadow, and Composition: Understanding Light Sources and Direction, Creating Depth with Shadows, Highlights and Reflections, Balancing Elements within the Frame, Using Negative Space Effectively, Creating Focal Points.

Module 6: Final Project and Professional Practice: Planning and Sketching a Still Life Composition, Executing a Complete Still Life Painting, Critique and Self-Evaluation Techniques, Photographing and Presenting Artwork, Preparing Artwork for Exhibition, Building a Portfolio and Marketing Your Work.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
