Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Stock Control Analyst course is designed to provide participants with the skills and tools necessary to effectively manage inventory within warehouses, retail, or industrial environments. The course covers inventory classification (ABC/VED), stock replenishment methods, demand forecasting, safety stock calculations, stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO), cycle counting, shrinkage prevention, and inventory valuation techniques. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Stock Control and Inventory Management: Role and responsibilities of a Stock Control Analyst, Objectives of stock control: availability, accuracy, cost efficiency, Types of inventory: raw materials, WIP, finished goods, spare parts, Key inventory terms: lead time, reorder point, safety stock, Inventory classification techniques: ABC, VED, FSN analysis, Importance of inventory accuracy in supply chain operations.

Module 2: Stock Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment: Inventory planning methods: deterministic vs probabilistic models, Demand forecasting techniques: moving average, exponential smoothing, Seasonal and trend-based forecasting in stock control, Replenishment systems: Min-Max, EOQ, JIT, Kanban, Setting reorder points and calculating safety stock levels, Integration of planning with sales, procurement, and production.

Module 3: Inventory Tracking, Documentation, and Record Keeping: Barcode and RFID-based tracking systems, Cycle counting and stocktaking procedures, Stock ledger, bin cards, and computerized inventory logs, ERP and WMS integration for real-time stock visibility, Inventory discrepancy resolution and root cause analysis, Documentation compliance and audit readiness.

Module 4: Warehouse Operations and Stock Movement: Warehouse layout design for efficient stock flow, Receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods, FIFO, LIFO, and FEFO inventory rotation systems, Handling of slow-moving, obsolete, or damaged stock, Internal transfers, stock adjustments, and inter-branch stock movements, Coordination between warehouse, logistics, and purchasing teams.

Module 5: Performance Metrics, Cost Control, and Loss Prevention: Key KPIs: inventory turnover, days of inventory, stock accuracy, Stock holding cost, ordering cost, and total inventory cost analysis, Budgeting and stock value optimization techniques, Identifying and preventing inventory losses: theft, shrinkage, expiry, Use of dashboards and data analysis tools for stock reporting, Strategies for lean inventory and working capital management.

Module 6: Technology, Compliance, and Stock Optimization Strategies: Inventory control software and digital tools overview, Cloud-based platforms and mobile apps for stock management, Inventory data security and backup protocols, Compliance with industry standards: ISO, GxP, SOX, Automation and AI in stock demand prediction and optimization, Capstone project: analyze and improve stock control for a given business scenario.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
