The course covers green logistics strategies, carbon emissions tracking, eco-friendly transportation modes, energy-efficient warehousing, reverse logistics, waste reduction, packaging optimization, and circular supply chain models. It also addresses compliance with global environmental standards such as ISO 14001 and GHG Protocol, sustainability reporting, and stakeholder engagement. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Sustainable Logistics and Supply Chain Management: Definition and importance of sustainability in logistics, Triple Bottom Line (TBL) approach: economic, environmental, social pillars, Key sustainability challenges in global and local logistics networks, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their relevance to logistics, Regulatory frameworks and voluntary standards: ISO 14001, GRI, UNGC, Role of a Sustainability Logistics Manager in driving green transformation.

Module 2: Green Procurement and Sustainable Sourcing Practices: Environmental and ethical sourcing principles, Supplier evaluation and sustainability audits, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) in procurement decision-making, Green certifications, ecolabels, and sustainable product standards, Building circular supply chains through reverse logistics and reuse, Case studies in sustainable sourcing across industries.

Module 3: Eco-Friendly Transportation and Distribution Systems: Carbon footprint of various transport modes and reduction strategies, Transitioning to electric vehicles, biofuels, and alternative energy fleets, Route optimization, load consolidation, and modal shift approaches, Last-mile sustainability: green delivery methods and urban logistics, Smart transport systems and real-time emissions monitoring, Emissions accounting tools: GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, and logistics calculators.

Module 4: Sustainable Warehousing and Facility Management: Designing green warehouses: insulation, energy efficiency, and lighting, Use of renewable energy sources in logistics facilities, Waste reduction, recycling, and material recovery in warehouses, LEED, BREEAM, and IGBC certifications for logistics infrastructure, Water conservation and green building operations, Monitoring KPIs: energy usage, waste levels, carbon emissions.

Module 5: Waste, Packaging, and Reverse Logistics Management: Sustainable packaging design: biodegradable, recyclable, reusable materials, Packaging optimization for transport efficiency and material reduction, Reverse logistics for product returns, refurbishing, recycling, Managing hazardous and e-waste in logistics networks, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance in supply chains, Circular economy principles applied to logistics operations.

Module 6: Strategic Planning, Reporting, and Innovation in Sustainable Logistics: Integrating sustainability into logistics strategy and company culture, Developing sustainability scorecards and dashboards, ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) reporting for logistics operations, Innovation and digital tools: AI, blockchain, IoT for green logistics, Stakeholder engagement, training, and change management for sustainability, Capstone project: design a sustainability-focused logistics strategy for an organization.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
