Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Sustainable Fashion Designer course aims to equip fashion designers with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills to integrate sustainability principles into the design and production of fashion. The course covers environmental, social, and economic impacts of fashion, sustainable materials, ethical sourcing, circular design practices, and strategies to minimize waste and carbon footprint. Graduates will be prepared to innovate responsibly within the fashion industry, promoting eco-friendly design, fair labor practices, and transparency throughout the supply chain.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Sustainable Fashion: Definition and principles of sustainable fashion, History and evolution of sustainability in fashion, Environmental and social impacts of the fashion industry, Key terms and concepts (slow fashion, circular fashion, etc.), Importance of ethical fashion practices, Overview of global sustainability initiatives in fashion.

Module 2: Sustainable Materials and Textiles: Natural vs synthetic fibers, Organic and regenerative textiles, Recycled and upcycled materials, Eco-friendly dyeing and finishing processes, Certifications and standards for sustainable materials, Innovations in sustainable textile development.

Module 3: Sustainable Design Principles: Design thinking for sustainability, Zero-waste and minimal waste design techniques, Modular and multifunctional fashion design, Lifecycle thinking in design, Designing for durability and recyclability, Integration of tradition and craftsmanship

Module 4: Ethical Production and Supply Chain: Fair trade and labor rights in fashion, Transparency and traceability in supply chains, Local and small-scale production models, Reducing carbon footprint in manufacturing, Technology for ethical sourcing, Social responsibility and community impact.

Module 5: Business Models and Branding for Sustainability: Sustainable fashion business models (rental, resale, made-to-order), Creating a sustainable brand identity, Green marketing and avoiding greenwashing, Building consumer trust through transparency, Storytelling and purpose-driven branding, Understanding conscious consumer behavior.

Module 6: Future Trends and Professional Practice: Fashion tech and innovation in sustainability, Circular economy and closed-loop systems, Policy and regulation in sustainable fashion, Measuring sustainability impact (tools and metrics), Building a sustainable fashion portfolio, Career pathways and industry networking.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
