Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Sustainable Textile Designer course aims to develop the knowledge and skills needed to create environmentally responsible textile designs. The course focuses on sustainable materials, eco-friendly dyeing and printing techniques, waste reduction, and life cycle assessment in textile production. Participants learn to integrate sustainability principles into design processes while maintaining aesthetic appeal and functionality. The program also covers certifications, regulations, and market trends in sustainable textiles. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Sustainable Textile Design: Overview of Sustainable Textile Design, Principles of Sustainable Fashion and Design, Impact of Textile Industry on Environment, Ethical Design Practices, Lifecycle of Textile Products, Global Sustainability Standards and Certifications.

Module 2: Sustainable Fiber and Material Selection: Types of Sustainable Fibers (Organic Cotton, Hemp, Tencel, Recycled Fibers), Benefits of Biodegradable and Renewable Materials, Impact of Fiber Production on Ecosystem, Fiber Sourcing and Traceability, Eco-friendly Fabric Treatments, Innovations in Sustainable Textile Materials.

Module 3: Eco-friendly Dyeing and Printing Techniques: Natural and Plant-based Dyes, Low-impact and Waterless Dyeing Technologies, Chemical-free Dyeing Alternatives, Digital Printing for Sustainability, Waste Minimization in Dyeing and Printing, Eco-certifications for Dyeing Processes.

Module 4: Textile Production and Manufacturing Processes: Sustainable Manufacturing Techniques, Waste Reduction in Textile Production, Energy-efficient and Water-saving Technologies, Circular Economy in Textile Manufacturing, Upcycling and Recycling in Textile Production, Closed-loop Production Systems.

Module 5: Sustainable Fashion Design and Development: Designing with a Focus on Durability and Longevity, Creating Timeless and Versatile Collections, Designing for Repair, Reuse, and Recycling, Designing with Zero Waste Techniques, Ethical Labor and Fair Trade Practices in Design, Collaborations with Sustainable Brands and Manufacturers.

Module 6: Innovation, Trends, and Future of Sustainable Textile Design: Technological Innovations in Sustainable Textiles, Smart Textiles for Sustainability, Future Design Trends (Cradle-to-Cradle, Circular Design), Role of Consumer Awareness in Sustainable Fashion, Eco-conscious Marketing and Brand Building, Research and Development in Sustainable Textile Design.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
