Eligibility: 10th (High School) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Tattoo Artist course is designed to train aspiring professionals in the art, technique, safety, and business of tattooing. It equips learners with skills in tattoo design, machine handling, skin anatomy, hygiene protocols, and client consultation, enabling them to work confidently as independent tattoo artists, studio professionals, or freelancers in the body art industry.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Tattoo Art: History and Evolution of Tattooing, Types and Styles of Tattoos (Traditional, Tribal, Realism, etc.), Role and Ethics of a Professional Tattoo Artist, Anatomy and Skin Layers Relevant to Tattooing, Overview of the Tattoo Industry and Trends, Health, Hygiene, and Legal Regulations.

Module 2: Design Fundamentals and Drawing Skills: Basic Drawing and Sketching Techniques, Understanding Line Work, Shading, and Textures, Tattoo Composition and Placement, Color Theory and Skin Tone Matching, Creating Custom Tattoo Designs, Digital Art Tools for Tattoo Design.

Module 3: Tattoo Tools and Equipment: Types of Tattoo Machines (Coil and Rotary), Tattoo Needles and Their Uses, Inks and Pigments – Types and Selection, Power Supply and Foot Pedal Handling, Setup and Maintenance of Tattoo Equipment, Needle Depth and Machine Calibration.

Module 4: Skin Preparation and Tattooing Techniques: Client Consultation and Skin Assessment, Stencil Creation and Application, Tattooing Line Work, Shading, and Coloring Techniques, Stretching Skin for Precision, Dealing with Different Skin Types and Areas, First Aid and Managing Client Pain.

Module 5: Safety, Hygiene, and Aftercare: Sterilization and Cross-Contamination Prevention, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Disposing of Waste and Sharps Safely, Aftercare Guidelines and Healing Process, Managing Allergic Reactions and Infections, Hygiene Audits and Licensing Requirements.

Module 6: Professional Practice and Portfolio Development: Building a Tattoo Portfolio, Pricing and Booking Appointments, Marketing and Promoting Tattoo Services, Working in Studios vs Freelancing, Legal Aspects and Client Consent Forms, Continuing Education and Tattoo Conventions.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
