Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Technical Textile Specialist (CTTS) Certification is designed to provide professionals with in-depth knowledge and practical skills in the development, application, and management of technical textiles. It covers the properties, manufacturing processes, performance standards, and functional applications of textiles used in industries such as automotive, medical, construction, defense, and sports.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Technical Textiles: Definition and scope of technical textiles, Classification of technical textiles by application, Overview of global technical textile industry, Key differences between conventional and technical textiles, Emerging trends and innovations, Importance in various industries (automotive, medical, defense, construction)

Module 2: Fibers and Yarns for Technical Textiles: Natural vs synthetic fibers, High-performance fibers (Kevlar, Nomex, Carbon, UHMWPE), Specialty yarn production techniques, Fiber properties and their impact on performance, Smart and functional fibers, Selection criteria for applications

Module 3: Fabric Formation and Manufacturing Techniques: Weaving and knitting for technical textiles, Nonwoven production technologies, Coating, laminating, and finishing techniques, Composite textiles manufacturing, 3D textiles and advanced structures, Process optimization and quality control

Module 4: Functional Properties and Testing: Mechanical properties (tensile, tear, abrasion resistance), Thermal and fire resistance properties, Chemical and environmental resistance, Barrier and filtration properties, Testing standards and protocols (ISO, ASTM), Interpretation and documentation of results

Module 5: Applications of Technical Textiles: Medical textiles and hygiene products, Geotextiles and construction textiles, Automotive and transport textiles, Protective textiles for defense and industrial use, Sports and leisure technical textiles, Smart textiles and wearable technology

Module 6: Quality Management and Innovation in Technical Textiles: Quality assurance and control methods, Standards and certifications specific to technical textiles, Sustainability and eco-friendly practices, Research and development in technical textiles, Project management and commercialization, Future trends and innovation in smart and functional textiles

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
