Objective: The Certified Technical Textiles Professional course is designed to equip learners with in-depth understanding and practical expertise in the growing field of technical textiles—engineered textile products used for functional, rather than aesthetic, purposes. The course aims to build proficiency in material selection, production techniques, performance evaluation, and industry-specific applications.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Technical Textiles: Definition and scope of technical textiles, Differences between conventional and technical textiles, Classification based on application areas (Agrotech, Meditech, Geotech, etc.), Growth trends and global market overview, Importance in defense, healthcare, automotive, and construction sectors, Role of a technical textiles professional.

Module 2: Raw Materials and Functional Fibers: Types of high-performance fibers (aramid, carbon, UHMWPE, glass), Natural and synthetic fibers used in technical applications, Fiber properties and selection criteria for end-use, Specialty yarns and fabric structures, Coated, laminated, and composite materials, Smart and responsive fiber technologies.

Module 3: Manufacturing Techniques for Technical Textiles: Overview of weaving, knitting, braiding, nonwoven, and 3D textile techniques, Machinery and process control for each technique, Production of multilayer and spacer fabrics, Finishing and functional coating techniques, Quality parameters in technical textile manufacturing, Process optimization for performance enhancement.

Module 4: Functional Finishes and Testing Standards: Types of finishes (flame-retardant, water-resistant, antimicrobial, UV protective), Nano-finishing and advanced chemical treatments, Standards and certifications (ASTM, ISO, EN), Performance testing (tensile, abrasion, permeability, fire resistance), Role of testing labs and equipment, Documentation and compliance procedures.

Module 5: Application Areas and Case Studies: Meditech (surgical gowns, implants), Geotech (geogrids, geotextiles), Buildtech (membranes, concrete reinforcement), Mobiltech (seat belts, airbags), Protech (protective clothing, body armor), Case studies on successful technical textile products.
