Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Textile Print Designer course aims to develop creative and technical expertise in designing prints for textiles across various applications such as fashion, home décor, and technical fabrics. Participants will learn about print design principles, color theory, fabric types, and printing techniques including screen printing, rotary printing, and digital printing. The course also covers trend analysis, motif development, repeat patterns, and software tools used in textile print design.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Textile Printing: Overview of Textile Printing, History and Evolution of Textile Printing, Different Types of Textile Printing (Block, Screen, Rotary, Digital), Basic Principles of Textile Printing, The Role of a Textile Print Designer, Key Applications of Textile Prints (Fashion, Home Décor, Technical Textiles).

Module 2: Printing Techniques and Processes: Traditional Printing Techniques (Block, Screen, and Roller Printing), Modern Textile Printing Techniques (Digital, Sublimation, Heat Transfer), Direct vs. Discharge Printing, Specialty Printing Techniques (Foil, Flock, Glitter), Print Registration and Alignment, Advantages and Challenges of Each Printing Method.

Module 3: Color Theory and Dyeing in Textile Printing: Understanding Color Theory and Its Application in Textile Prints, Color Harmonies and Contrast in Design, Dyeing Techniques for Textile Printing (Reactive, Acid, Pigment, etc.), Color Matching and Colorfastness in Printed Textiles, Sustainable Dyes and Inks for Printing, Managing Color Consistency and Accuracy in Prints.

Module 4: Textile Print Design Software and Tools: Introduction to Textile Print Design Software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, etc.), Creating Print Patterns Using Design Software, Developing Repeats, Motifs, and Layouts, Working with Layers, Gradients, and Textures in Prints, Exporting and Preparing Print Files for Production, Using CAD Software for Digital Textile Printing.

Module 5: Fabric Selection and Printing Considerations: Choosing the Right Fabric for Textile Printing (Cotton, Silk, Polyester, etc.), Understanding Fabric Properties and Their Impact on Printing, Pre-treatment and Post-treatment of Fabrics for Printing, Fabric Shrinkage and Distortion Considerations, Handling and Storing Printed Fabrics, Sustainable Fabrics for Eco-friendly Printing.

Module 6: Trend Forecasting, Market Research, and Future of Textile Printing: Forecasting Trends in Textile Prints (Seasonal, Cultural, Technological), Understanding Consumer Preferences and Market Demands, Conducting Market Research for Print Design, Sustainability in Textile Printing (Water-based Inks, Reduced Waste Techniques), Innovations in Digital and 3D Textile Printing, Future Directions and Technological Advances in Textile Printing Design.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
