Objective: The Certified Transport Safety Officer course is designed to develop competent professionals capable of overseeing and implementing safety protocols across various modes of transport, including road, rail, air, and maritime systems. The course provides in-depth training on transport regulations, risk assessment, accident prevention strategies, emergency response planning, driver behavior monitoring, vehicle inspection protocols, cargo securing procedures, and hazardous materials handling. Participants will gain familiarity with national and international safety standards such as Motor Vehicle Act, ICAO, IMO, and DOT guidelines.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Transport Safety Management: Role and responsibilities of a Transport Safety Officer, Types of transport systems (road, rail, air, maritime), Overview of transport-related hazards and risks, Applicable safety regulations and standards (DOT, OSHA, ISO 39001), Principles of transport safety and loss prevention, Organizational structure and safety culture in transport operations.

Module 2: Vehicle Safety and Inspection Procedures: Types of vehicles and their safety requirements, Pre-trip and post-trip inspection checklists, Vehicle maintenance and defect reporting systems, Brake, tire, lighting, and load securing inspections, Use of telematics and GPS for monitoring, Vehicle safety documentation and compliance.

Module 3: Driver Safety and Behavior Monitoring: Driver qualification and licensing standards, Fatigue management and working hours regulations, Defensive driving techniques and hazard perception, Alcohol and drug policies and testing protocols, Use of driver monitoring systems (dashcams, speed alerts), Training programs and driver performance evaluations.

Module 4: Road Risk Assessment and Journey Planning: Hazard identification in transport routes and environments, Risk assessment methods for transport operations, Route planning and scheduling to reduce risk, Adverse weather and night-driving precautions, Emergency response planning during transit, Incident mapping and route improvement strategies.

Module 5: Cargo Handling, Loading, and Security: Safe loading and unloading procedures, Load distribution and securing methods, Hazardous materials transport safety (HAZMAT), Documentation and placarding for dangerous goods, Theft prevention and cargo security measures, PPE and equipment use during loading operations.

Module 6: Incident Management, Reporting, and Compliance: Accident and near-miss investigation procedures, Root cause analysis and corrective actions, Transport safety audits and inspections, Recordkeeping and regulatory reporting, Emergency response coordination with authorities, Continuous improvement and review of transport safety programs.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
