Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified TV Program Producer course is designed to provide learners with the creative, technical, and managerial skills needed to produce engaging television programs across genres such as talk shows, reality shows, news, fiction, documentaries, and infotainment. The course covers the end-to-end production process including concept development, scripting, budgeting, scheduling, talent coordination, set planning, studio and field production, multi-camera operations, post-production, and broadcast or OTT delivery.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Television Production and the Role of a Producer: Understanding the television industry and content types (news, reality, fiction, non-fiction), Responsibilities and skill set of a TV program producer, Overview of the TV production process from concept to broadcast, Understanding TV genres and target audiences, Collaborating with directors, writers, and broadcasters, Case studies of successful TV program formats.

Module 2: Concept Development and Script Planning: Identifying marketable show ideas and audience demand, Developing concepts, show formats, and episode structures, Writing and supervising scripts and outlines, Creating a content bible and production treatment, Managing research, fact-checking, and creative references, Pitching program ideas to networks and platforms.

Module 3: Budgeting and Scheduling for TV Productions: Creating detailed production budgets and financial planning, Cost breakdowns for crew, equipment, sets, and locations, Scheduling episodes and coordinating multi-episode shoots, Resource allocation and managing production timelines, Working with finance teams, sponsors, and stakeholders, Controlling costs and adjusting budgets in real-time.

Module 4: Pre-Production and Team Management: Casting, crew hiring, and production planning logistics, Location scouting, set design, and technical requirements, Obtaining permissions, legal clearances, and contracts, Coordinating wardrobe, makeup, and art departments, Conducting pre-production meetings and rehearsals, Creating production documents: call sheets, risk assessments, contact lists.

Module 5: Production Supervision and On-Set Operations: Managing studio and on-location shoots efficiently, Supervising live recordings and multi-camera setups, Coordinating technical departments: lighting, sound, camera, graphics, Handling production challenges and on-the-spot decision-making, Ensuring quality control, creative consistency, and legal compliance, Monitoring shoot progress and daily production reports.

Module 6: Post-Production, Broadcast Delivery, and Promotion: Overseeing editing, sound, graphics, and final mix, Approving rough cuts, fine cuts, and mastering, Coordinating with broadcasters on technical specifications, Packaging episodes with titles, credits, and branding, Planning marketing, teasers, and promotional activities, Submitting final deliverables and managing broadcast schedules.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
