Global Occupational Skill Standard – GOSS ID: GOSS/TL/CWPA/V1

Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Warehouse Performance Analyst course is designed to equip participants with the analytical and operational skills required to assess and enhance warehouse efficiency and productivity. The course covers key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, inventory turnover, space utilization, picking/packing rates, and on-time shipments. It includes techniques for time-motion studies, bottleneck analysis, layout optimization, labor productivity tracking, and use of warehouse management systems (WMS).

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Warehouse Operations and Performance Analysis: Overview of warehouse functions and workflows (receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch), Types of warehouses: distribution centers, fulfillment centers, cold storage, Key roles and responsibilities of a Warehouse Performance Analyst, Importance of warehouse performance in overall supply chain efficiency, Understanding warehouse costs, capacity, and service levels, Common challenges and performance gaps in warehouse operations.

Module 2: Warehouse Performance Metrics and KPIs: Identifying key performance indicators: inventory accuracy, order picking accuracy, dock-to-stock time, order cycle time, on-time shipments, Labor productivity metrics: picks per hour, lines per order, cost per order, Space utilization and storage density metrics, Setting performance targets and benchmarking against industry standards, Real-time monitoring and analysis of performance data, Developing KPI dashboards for warehouse operations.

Module 3: Data Collection, Analysis, and Reporting Techniques: Sources of warehouse data: WMS, ERP, scanners, IoT devices, Techniques for collecting accurate and timely operational data, Data analysis tools: Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL for warehouse analytics, Root cause analysis of performance issues using Pareto and trend analysis, Creating performance scorecards and exception reports, Presenting insights to management for informed decision-making.

Module 4: Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement: Lean principles and waste elimination in warehouse operations, Time and motion studies for optimizing workflow efficiency, Slotting analysis and optimization for faster picking, Labor planning, shift scheduling, and workload balancing, 5S implementation and visual management tools, Implementing kaizen events and performance improvement initiatives.

Module 5: Technology and Automation in Warehouse Performance: Role of WMS, TMS, and ERP systems in warehouse performance tracking, Automation technologies: AS/RS, conveyors, AMRs, pick-to-light, voice picking, Use of RFID, GPS, and IoT sensors for operational visibility, Integration of digital tools for real-time warehouse monitoring, Impact of AI and machine learning on predictive warehouse analytics, Evaluating ROI and performance gains from technology adoption.

Module 6: Strategic Planning and Performance Sustainability: Developing a performance management strategy aligned with business goals, Risk management and contingency planning for warehouse disruptions, Training, upskilling, and staff engagement for sustainable performance, Vendor and 3PL performance evaluation and collaboration, Periodic audits and performance reviews for accountability, Capstone project: develop a performance improvement plan for a real or simulated warehouse operation.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
