Objective: The Certified Watercolor Painting Artist course aims to equip students with comprehensive skills and knowledge in the art of watercolor painting. It focuses on developing fundamental techniques such as brush handling, color mixing, layering, and washes, while fostering creativity and individual expression. The course covers understanding watercolor materials, mastering light and shadow, composition, and various styles ranging from realism to abstract. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Watercolor Painting: History of watercolor, Types of watercolor paints, Watercolor tools and materials, Paper types and selection, Basic color theory, Understanding light and transparency.

Module 2: Watercolor Techniques: Wet-on-wet technique, Wet-on-dry technique, Dry brush technique, Glazing and layering, Lifting and blotting, Creating textures with salt and sponges.

Module 3: Color Mixing and Application: Primary, secondary, and tertiary colors, Mixing clean colors, Creating gradients and washes, Understanding color temperature, Using complementary colors, Avoiding muddy colors.

Module 4: Composition and Design Principles: Rule of thirds, Focal points and emphasis, Balance and symmetry, Positive and negative space, Perspective basics, Creating depth with value and color.

Module 5: Painting Subjects and Styles: Landscape painting fundamentals, Floral and botanical art, Still life techniques, Portrait basics in watercolor, Abstract watercolor styles, Painting animals and wildlife.

Module 6: Advanced Watercolor Practices and Presentation: Planning and sketching compositions, Combining watercolor with other media, Correcting mistakes, Varnishing and protecting artwork, Matting and framing techniques, Preparing artwork for exhibition and sale.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
