The course covers accessibility standards and guidelines such as WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), Section 508, and ADA compliance.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Web Accessibility: Definition and Importance of Web Accessibility, Understanding Disabilities and User Needs, Principles of Inclusive Design and Universal Access, Overview of Accessibility Laws and Standards (ADA, Section 508), Introduction to WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), Role and Responsibilities of a Web Accessibility Specialist.

Module 2: Accessibility Standards and Guidelines: Detailed Overview of WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 Principles (POUR), Conformance Levels (A, AA, AAA) and Success Criteria, Understanding ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications), Applying Section 508 and EN 301 549 Standards, Accessibility in Mobile and Responsive Web Design, Legal and Ethical Considerations in Accessibility.

Module 3: Semantic HTML and Accessible Design Practices: Using Semantic HTML Elements Correctly (Headings, Lists, Forms), Structuring Content for Screen Readers and Keyboard Navigation, Creating Accessible Forms and Tables, Color Contrast and Readability Guidelines, Accessible Navigation and Landmarks, Best Practices for Multimedia Accessibility.

Module 4: Assistive Technologies and User Testing: Overview of Assistive Technologies (Screen Readers, Switches, Magnifiers), Testing with Screen Readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver), Keyboard-Only and Touch Navigation Testing, Simulating Disability Experiences for Testing, Usability Testing with Diverse Users, Collecting and Analyzing Accessibility Feedback.

Module 5: Tools and Techniques for Accessibility Audits: Manual and Automated Accessibility Testing Methods, Using Tools like WAVE, AXE, Lighthouse, and aXe DevTools, Creating Accessibility Audit Reports, Fixing Common Accessibility Issues in Code, Continuous Integration and Accessibility in Development Workflow, Accessibility Testing for PDFs and Non-HTML Content.

Module 6: Building and Maintaining Accessible Web Projects: Integrating Accessibility in Design and Development Processes, Role of Developers, Designers, and Content Creators in Accessibility, Creating Accessible Documents and Media Content, Accessibility in CMS Platforms and Web Frameworks, Writing Accessible Documentation and Training Teams, Ongoing Monitoring and Compliance Maintenance.

• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
