Global Occupational Skill Standard – GOSS ID: GOSS/C/CWI/V1

Eligibility: 10th (High School) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Welding Inspector course is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills to inspect, evaluate, and ensure the quality and safety of welded structures and components. The program covers welding processes, metallurgical properties, inspection techniques, non-destructive testing methods, welding codes and standards, quality control, and safety practices.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 2: Welding Processes and Techniques: Types of Welding Processes (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW), Welding Equipment and Tools, Joint Configurations and Symbols, Welding Parameters and Techniques, Selection of Materials for Welding, Applications of Various Welding Methods

Module 3: Welding Standards and Codes: National and International Welding Standards, Regulatory and Safety Requirements, AWS, ASME, ISO, and API Codes, Certification and Compliance Procedures, Inspection Criteria and Acceptance Standards, Legal Responsibilities in Welding Projects

Module 4: Inspection Methods and Techniques: Visual Inspection Techniques, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Methods, Destructive Testing Methods, Weld Measurement and Evaluation, Identifying Defects and Discontinuities, Recording and Reporting Inspection Results

Module 5: Welding Quality Control and Safety: Quality Assurance and Control Procedures, Risk Assessment and Mitigation, Safety Practices in Welding Operations, Material Traceability and Documentation, Continuous Improvement in Welding Quality, Auditing Welding Processes

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
