Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: This course is designed to equip tourism professionals with the knowledge and skills to guide visitors responsibly in wildlife and eco-tourism settings. Participants will learn about wildlife behavior, habitat conservation, environmental sustainability, eco-tourism principles, safety protocols, and effective communication with diverse audiences.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Wildlife & Eco-Tourism: Overview of wildlife and eco-tourism, Roles and responsibilities of a wildlife guide, Types of eco-tourism and protected areas, Importance of conservation and sustainability, Trends and innovations in wildlife tourism, Challenges and ethical considerations in guiding

Module 2: Ecology, Flora & Fauna: Basics of ecology and ecosystems, Identification of local flora and fauna, Endangered species and conservation status, Wildlife behavior and habitat understanding, Seasonal patterns and migratory species, Role of biodiversity in eco-tourism experiences

Module 3: Guest Experience & Interpretation Skills: Principles of interpretation and storytelling, Engaging visitors during tours, Communication and presentation techniques, Customizing experiences for different audiences, Safety and risk awareness for guests, Handling questions and interactions effectively

Module 4: Trail, Park & Facility Management: Planning and guiding wildlife trails, Navigation and use of maps and GPS, Park regulations and compliance, Visitor facilities and infrastructure management, Monitoring environmental impact of tourism, Coordination with local authorities and conservation teams

Module 5: Safety, First Aid & Risk Management: Safety protocols in wildlife and eco-tourism, First aid and emergency response, Handling wildlife encounters and unexpected situations, Risk assessment and mitigation strategies, Crisis management planning, Training and preparedness for guides and staff

Module 6: Leadership, Sustainability & Professional Development: Promoting sustainable and responsible tourism, Engaging local communities in eco-tourism, Leadership and team coordination in guiding, Continuous skill development and certifications, Ethical conduct and professionalism, Innovation and enhancement of wildlife tour experiences

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
