Global Occupational Skill Standard – GOSS ID: GOSS/YM/CYI/V1

Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The objective of the Certified Yoga Instructor course is to provide a well-rounded and in-depth education in the foundational principles, practices, and philosophy of yoga. This course is designed to prepare aspiring instructors to confidently lead safe, inclusive, and effective yoga classes for diverse populations. The curriculum includes training in asanas (postures), pranayama (breath control), meditation, anatomy and physiology, yoga philosophy (including the Yoga Sutras), ethics, teaching methodology, and class sequencing. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 2: Anatomy and Physiology in Yoga: Basic Anatomy for Yoga Teachers, The Skeletal and Muscular Systems: Focus on Alignment and Joint Health, The Nervous System and Its Role in Yoga Practice, Understanding the Endocrine System and Yoga’s Impact, The Role of the Breath in Yoga (Pranayama and Its Physiology), Injury Prevention and How to Modify Poses for Students.

Module 4: Pranayama and Breath Control: Understanding the Importance of Breath in Yoga, Key Pranayama Techniques: Ujjayi, Nadi Shodhana, Kapalbhati, and Bhastrika, The Science of Breath and Its Effect on the Nervous System, Using Breath to Deepen Asana Practice and Cultivate Focus, How to Teach Pranayama Safely, Breath Awareness in Daily Life.

Module 5: Meditation, Mindfulness, and Relaxation: Introduction to Meditation Techniques: Guided, Mantra, and Mindfulness Meditation, The Role of Relaxation in Yoga (Yoga Nidra), Developing Mental Clarity and Focus, Techniques to Calm the Mind and Reduce Stress, The Importance of Grounding and Centering in Meditation, Teaching Meditation to Beginners.

  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
