Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Yoga Nidra Facilitator course is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to guide others through the transformative practice of Yoga Nidra—also known as yogic sleep. This course explores the theoretical foundations, historical roots, and contemporary adaptations of Yoga Nidra, drawing from classical texts and modern therapeutic models. Participants will learn about the stages of Yoga Nidra, including body scanning, breath awareness, visualization, Sankalpa (intention setting), and systematic relaxation. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Yoga Nidra: The history and origins of Yoga Nidra in yogic traditions, Understanding the concept of “Nidra” (sleep) and its deeper meaning in Yoga, The benefits of Yoga Nidra for physical, mental, and emotional well-being, The science behind Yoga Nidra and its impact on the nervous system, The stages of consciousness: waking, dreaming, deep sleep, and transcendence, How Yoga Nidra differs from regular meditation and sleep.

Module 2: The Science of Conscious Relaxation: The role of the autonomic nervous system in relaxation (sympathetic vs. parasympathetic), The physiological changes during Yoga Nidra (heart rate, respiration, blood pressure), The brainwave states: Beta, Alpha, Theta, and Delta, How Yoga Nidra induces the Theta brainwave state for deep relaxation and healing, The process of achieving a “body scan” and releasing physical tension, The importance of conscious relaxation for stress reduction, immune system boost, and mental clarity.

Module 3: The Structure of a Yoga Nidra Session: The components of a Yoga Nidra session: Sankalpa (intention), body scan, breath awareness, visualizations, and guided relaxation, How to create a safe and comfortable environment for Yoga Nidra practice, Step-by-step guidance for leading a Yoga Nidra session (beginner to advanced), The use of voice modulation and pacing in facilitating deep relaxation, Techniques for guiding participants through the stages of Yoga Nidra (relaxation, awareness, visualization, deep sleep), How to close the session and bring students back to alertness gently.

Module 4: Working with Sankalpa (Intention) in Yoga Nidra: Understanding the power of Sankalpa (intention) and its role in Yoga Nidra, How to formulate a positive and powerful Sankalpa for personal growth, The impact of Sankalpa on the subconscious mind and its ability to manifest, The psychological principles behind intention-setting and self-affirmation, How to guide students in setting their own Sankalpa, Integrating Sankalpa into Yoga Nidra for healing and transformation.

Module 5: Healing Through Yoga Nidra: Using Yoga Nidra for stress management, trauma recovery, and emotional healing, The role of Yoga Nidra in deepening self-awareness and emotional intelligence, How Yoga Nidra helps in releasing stored tension and trauma from the body and mind, Techniques for using breath and visualization for emotional balance and healing, Exploring the therapeutic applications of Yoga Nidra for chronic pain, insomnia, anxiety, and depression, How to tailor Yoga Nidra sessions for specific therapeutic needs.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
