Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).
Objective: The Certified Yoga Therapist for Respiratory Health course aims to equip participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills to effectively use yoga therapy techniques for improving respiratory health. The course covers the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system, common respiratory disorders (such as asthma, COPD, bronchitis), and the role of yoga in managing and rehabilitating these conditions.
Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:
Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.
Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.
Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.
Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.
Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.
Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Respiratory Health and Yoga Therapy: Understanding respiratory anatomy and physiology, The impact of breathing on physical and mental health, The role of Yoga therapy in respiratory health, Breathing techniques and their effect on respiratory function, Introduction to Pranayama practices for lung health, Yoga therapy principles in addressing respiratory conditions.
Module 2: Pranayama and Breathing Techniques for Respiratory Health: Fundamentals of Pranayama in therapeutic settings, Techniques: Ujjayi, Nadi Shodhana, Bhastrika, Kapalbhati, and Anulom Vilom, Breathing exercises for improving lung capacity and efficiency, Breathing patterns and their connection with respiratory conditions, Therapeutic application of Pranayama for asthma, COPD, and other disorders, Contraindications and precautions in Pranayama.
Module 3: Asanas for Respiratory Health and Detoxification: Key yoga postures to enhance lung function, Poses for strengthening the diaphragm and intercostal muscles, Standing, seated, and supine postures for lung expansion, Twists and backbends for detoxifying the respiratory system, Sequence design for respiratory conditions, The effect of inversions and restorative poses on lung health.
Module 4: Addressing Specific Respiratory Conditions through Yoga Therapy: Yoga for Asthma: Adaptations, poses, and Pranayama techniques, Yoga for COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), Yoga for Bronchitis and other chronic respiratory conditions, Managing stress and anxiety related to respiratory issues with Yoga, Post-COVID respiratory rehabilitation using yoga, Therapeutic sequencing for various respiratory conditions.
Module 5: Breath Awareness and Meditation for Respiratory Healing: Mindfulness and breath awareness techniques, Role of meditation in managing respiratory diseases, Combining breath control with meditation for lung health, Techniques for relaxation and reducing respiratory distress, Introduction to yogic meditation for stress reduction in respiratory patients, Psychological benefits of regular meditation for respiratory therapy.
Module 6: Lifestyle, Diet, and Holistic Approaches to Respiratory Health: The role of diet and nutrition in supporting respiratory health, Ayurvedic dietary recommendations for lung health, Lifestyle modifications for individuals with respiratory conditions, The importance of sleep and rest for respiratory function, Environmental considerations: air quality, toxins, and breathing, Integrating Yoga therapy with other holistic approaches (e.g., Ayurveda, Acupressure) for comprehensive respiratory care.
