Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Youth Exercise Specialist course is designed to equip fitness professionals with specialized knowledge and skills to safely design and implement exercise programs for children and adolescents. The program covers growth and development principles, age-appropriate training techniques, injury prevention, motivational strategies, and health promotion for youth.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Fundamentals of Youth Fitness and Development: Stages of physical growth and motor development in children and adolescents, Differences between youth and adult physiology, Benefits of physical activity on physical, mental, and emotional health, Risks of physical inactivity and sedentary behavior in youth, Understanding the role of play, sport, and movement in youth fitness, Guidelines and recommendations for youth physical activity.

Module 2: Exercise Science and Age-Appropriate Training: Basic principles of exercise physiology for youth, Cardiovascular, muscular, and skeletal system considerations in children, Designing developmentally appropriate fitness programs, FITT principles and training volume for various age groups, Warm-up, cool-down, and flexibility training techniques, Injury prevention and safety guidelines in youth training.

Module 3: Strength, Speed, and Skill Development in Youth: Fundamentals of strength training for children and teens, Resistance training safety, form, and equipment usage, Speed, agility, and coordination drills for skill enhancement, Enhancing movement patterns and motor control, Progressive overload and adaptation in young athletes, Balancing sports-specific training with general physical development.

Module 4: Special Considerations in Youth Exercise: Training considerations for overweight and inactive children, Working with children with special needs or disabilities, Nutrition education basics for active youth, Addressing psychosocial issues: body image, motivation, peer pressure, Gender differences and maturity-related challenges in training, Behavioral management and group leadership strategies.

Module 5: Programming, Games, and Engagement Strategies: Creating fun, motivating, and goal-oriented youth workouts, Integrating games, circuits, and team activities into sessions, Age-specific programming for pre-schoolers, school-age kids, and teens, Tracking progress and performance in youth programs, Designing school-based, after-school, and community fitness initiatives, Keeping youth engaged long-term through positive reinforcement.

Module 6: Professional Practice, Safety, and Career Development: Role and responsibilities of a Certified Youth Exercise Specialist, Legal and ethical issues in working with minors, CPR, first aid, and emergency procedures in youth settings, Communicating effectively with parents, schools, and sports coaches, Building a successful youth fitness business or program, Certification maintenance and continuing education pathways.
