Objective: The Certified Health Information Administrator course is designed to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in managing, analyzing, and protecting health information across healthcare systems. The program covers healthcare data management, medical coding principles, electronic health records (EHR) systems, health informatics, privacy and security regulations, and compliance with legal and ethical standards such as HIPAA.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Foundations of Health Information Management: Introduction to health information administration, Roles and responsibilities of a health information administrator, Healthcare delivery systems overview, Medical terminology essentials, Legal and ethical issues in health information, Confidentiality and patient privacy (HIPAA principles)

Module 2: Health Data Management & Classification Systems: Types of healthcare data and documentation standards, Data collection and storage methods, ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems overview, Data quality assurance and accuracy checks, Clinical documentation improvement (CDI), Managing electronic data for reporting and analytics

Module 3: Electronic Health Records (EHR) & Health Informatics: Functions and features of EHR systems, Interoperability and health information exchange, Information system lifecycle and implementation, Data security and integrity controls, Emerging technologies in health informatics (AI, telehealth, analytics), Troubleshooting EHR workflow issues

Module 4: Health Information Compliance, Risk & Governance: Healthcare regulations and compliance requirements, Risk management and audit procedures, Data governance frameworks, Record retention policies and lifecycle management, Fraud, waste, and abuse prevention, Policies for data access and usage monitoring

Module 5: Healthcare Revenue Cycle & Reimbursement: Overview of the revenue cycle process, Patient registration, billing, and claims workflow, Third-party payers and reimbursement methodologies, Coding impact on reimbursement and compliance, Denials management and appeals process, Financial reporting and performance indicators

Module 6: Leadership, Management & Professional Development: Healthcare project management principles, Supervising and training HIM staff, Strategic planning and operations management, Communication and teamwork skills in healthcare, Continuing education and certification pathways, Building a career in health information administration

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
