Duration: One Month.

Eligibility: 10+2 Grade (Higher Secondary) or Equivalent is required.

Objective: The Certified Travel Agency Executive course is designed to prepare individuals for effective management and operation of travel agencies. The program covers essential aspects such as travel planning and booking, customer service excellence, airline and hotel reservations, tour packaging, ticketing procedures, travel regulations, and the use of global distribution systems (GDS). 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Travel and Tourism Industry: Overview of Travel and Tourism Industry, Types of Travel Agencies and Tour Operators, Role and Functions of Travel Agency Executive, Travel Trade Terminology, Travel Industry Structure and Stakeholders, Tourism Products and Services.

Module 2: Travel Agency Operations and Management: Setting Up a Travel Agency, Office Procedures and Documentation, Client Handling and Customer Service, Reservation and Ticketing Systems, Handling Travel Enquiries and Quotations, Financial Management and Accounting Basics.

Module 3: Airfare and Ticketing: Airline Industry Overview, Understanding Airline Tariffs and Fare Construction, Global Distribution Systems (GDS) – Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo, Ticketing Procedures and Documentation, Special Fare Rules and Regulations, E-ticketing and Online Booking Platforms.

Module 4: Travel Documentation and Formalities: Passport and Visa Procedures, Health and Travel Insurance, Customs and Immigration Regulations, Travel Advisories and Restrictions, Documentation for Special Groups (students, senior citizens, diplomats), Handling Emergencies and Travel Disruptions.

Module 5: Tour Planning and Packaging: Components of Tour Packages, Types of Tour Packages, Itinerary Preparation and Costing, Collaborating with Hotels, Transport and Local Suppliers, Marketing and Selling Tour Packages, Handling Group Tours and FITs (Free Independent Travelers).

Module 6: Marketing, Sales and Legal Aspects: Travel Agency Marketing Strategies, Use of Digital Marketing and Social Media, Sales Techniques and Negotiation Skills, Consumer Rights and Travel Agency Liability, Industry Regulations and Compliance, Ethical Practices in Travel Business.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
