Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The Certificate in Accounting and Bookkeeping Practices course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to perform essential accounting and financial tasks accurately and efficiently. The course covers bookkeeping, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, budgeting, taxation basics, auditing principles, and compliance with accounting standards.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Fundamentals of Accounting: Introduction to accounting, Accounting principles and standards, Double-entry bookkeeping, Accounting equation and concepts, Types of accounts and ledgers, Case studies of basic accounting practices

Module 2: Financial Transactions and Recording: Recording financial transactions, Journal entries and subsidiary books, Posting to ledgers, Trial balance preparation, Adjusting entries, Error detection and correction

Module 3: Financial Statements Preparation: Preparation of income statement/profit & loss account, Preparation of balance sheet, Cash flow statements, Statement of changes in equity, Understanding notes to accounts, Introduction to financial statement analysis

Module 4: Cost and Management Accounting: Basics of cost accounting, Cost classification and allocation, Costing methods (job, process, activity-based), Budgeting and variance analysis, Break-even analysis, Decision-making using cost data

Module 5: Taxation and Compliance: Introduction to taxation principles, Income tax calculation and filing, Value-added tax (VAT) and indirect taxes, Payroll-related tax compliance, Tax records and documentation, Understanding regulatory requirements

Module 6: Accounting Technology and Professional Skills: Accounting software and automation, Data management and recordkeeping, Internal controls and audit basics, Professional ethics and integrity, Communication and report writing, Continuous learning and professional development

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
