Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The objective of the Certificate in Advanced Plumbing course is to develop the expertise and leadership skills required to oversee, design, and manage comprehensive plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The course covers advanced plumbing codes and regulations, complex piping systems, water supply and drainage design, gas systems, fire protection plumbing, project management, troubleshooting, and supervisory responsibilities.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Advanced Plumbing Principles and Codes: Overview of plumbing systems and components, Plumbing codes and standards (IPC, UPC, local codes), Water supply and distribution principles, Wastewater and venting systems, Cross-connection control and backflow prevention, Environmental regulations and sustainability in plumbing.

Module 2: Plumbing System Design and Layout: Interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, Designing water supply and drainage systems, Hydraulic calculations and pipe sizing, Fixture selection and placement, Integration with HVAC and fire protection systems, Use of plumbing design software and BIM tools.

Module 3: Installation Techniques and Equipment: Advanced pipe fitting and joining methods (soldering, threading, welding), Installation of pumps, valves, and water heaters, Backflow prevention device installation, Medical gas and specialty piping systems, Testing and commissioning plumbing systems, Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

Module 4: Water Heating and Energy Efficiency: Types of water heating systems (tank, tankless, solar), Energy-efficient plumbing fixtures and appliances, Water conservation technologies, Heat recovery systems, Maintenance of water heating equipment, Compliance with energy codes and standards.

Module 5: Safety and Risk Management: Jobsite safety protocols and OSHA regulations, Confined space and hazardous materials handling, Emergency response planning, Risk assessment and mitigation strategies, Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), Documentation and compliance reporting.

Module 6: Business Management and Leadership: Project management and scheduling, Estimating and bidding plumbing projects, Contract administration and legal considerations, Team leadership and workforce management, Customer relations and communication skills, Continuing education and professional development.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
