Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The objective of the Certificate in Building Construction Practices course is to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to oversee all phases of construction projects effectively. The course covers project planning, resource management, cost control, contract administration, quality assurance, safety management, and stakeholder communication.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Construction Management: Overview of construction management principles, Roles and responsibilities of a construction manager, Construction project lifecycle, Types of construction projects, Stakeholder management, Ethics and professionalism in construction management.

Module 2: Project Planning and Scheduling: Work breakdown structure (WBS) development, Construction scheduling techniques (CPM, Gantt charts), Resource allocation and leveling, Project milestones and deliverables, Use of project management software, Schedule monitoring and control.

Module 3: Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Estimating methods and cost components, Preparing detailed project budgets, Cost control and variance analysis, Managing contingencies and allowances, Procurement and contract budgeting, Financial reporting and documentation.

Module 4: Contract Administration and Legal Aspects: Types of construction contracts, Contract negotiation and management, Legal requirements and compliance, Claims management and dispute resolution, Risk management in contracts, Documentation and record-keeping.

Module 5: Quality and Safety Management: Quality management systems and standards, Quality assurance and quality control processes, Construction safety regulations and practices, Site safety planning and implementation, Incident investigation and reporting, Promoting a culture of quality and safety.

Module 6: Leadership and Communication: Effective leadership styles and techniques, Team building and conflict resolution, Communication skills and stakeholder engagement, Decision making and problem solving, Change management, Performance monitoring and feedback.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
