Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The Certificate in Construction Augmented Reality Technology course is designed to equip construction professionals with the technical skills and knowledge to effectively implement and manage augmented reality technologies on construction sites. The course covers AR hardware and software tools, site data integration, 3D modeling, visualization techniques, and real-time collaboration.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Augmented Reality in Construction: Basics of augmented reality technology, Applications of AR in construction, AR hardware and devices overview, Benefits and challenges of AR adoption, Overview of construction workflows enhanced by AR, Role and responsibilities of an AR field technician.

Module 2: AR Hardware and Software: Types of AR devices (smart glasses, tablets, headsets), AR software platforms and tools, Integration with BIM and CAD models, User interface and interaction methods, Device setup and calibration, Maintenance and troubleshooting of AR hardware.

Module 3: Data Management and 3D Modeling: Understanding 3D models and BIM data, Preparing and optimizing models for AR, Data formats and compatibility, Cloud storage and data synchronization, Version control and updates, Security and privacy considerations.

Module 4: AR Implementation in Field Operations: Site scanning and mapping techniques, Real-time visualization of construction plans, On-site measurements and quality control with AR, Clash detection and issue resolution, Collaboration and remote assistance using AR, Documentation and reporting through AR systems.

Module 5: Safety and Compliance: Safety protocols for AR device usage on construction sites, Regulatory compliance and standards for AR technology, Risk assessment and mitigation, Ergonomics and user comfort, Training site personnel on AR safety, Incident reporting and management.

Module 6: Professional Skills and Future Trends: Effective communication with project teams and stakeholders, Problem-solving in AR field operations, Continuous learning and certification updates, Emerging AR technologies in construction, Integration of AR with IoT and AI, Career development opportunities in AR construction technology.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
