Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent.

Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The objective of the Certificate in Construction Health and Safety Management course is to provide in-depth knowledge and practical skills required to promote and enforce safety standards on construction sites. The course covers hazard identification, risk assessment, accident prevention, safety management systems, and regulatory compliance including OSHA and local safety laws.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Construction Safety: Overview of construction safety principles, Roles and responsibilities of a safety officer, Types of construction hazards, Construction safety laws and regulations (OSHA, local standards), Safety culture and behavior-based safety, Risk assessment and hazard identification.

Module 2: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Safety Gear: Types of PPE and their applications, Selection and proper use of PPE, Inspection and maintenance of safety gear, PPE regulations and compliance, Training workers on PPE usage, PPE in special construction activities (electrical, confined spaces).

Module 3: Site Safety Management and Planning: Developing site safety plans, Safety signage and communication, Emergency preparedness and response planning, Safety audits and inspections, Incident reporting and investigation, Safety training and toolbox talks.

Module 4: Hazard Control and Prevention: Control measures for common construction hazards (falls, electrical, machinery), Safe use of scaffolding and ladders, Excavation and trench safety, Working at heights and fall protection systems, Handling hazardous materials and waste, Traffic and vehicle safety on site.

Module 5: Construction Equipment and Machinery Safety: Operation and safety of cranes and hoisting equipment, Safe use of power tools and machinery, Lockout/tagout procedures, Equipment maintenance and inspection, Operator certification and training, Safety protocols for heavy machinery movement.

Module 6: Legal Compliance and Safety Documentation: Construction safety laws and regulations compliance, Record keeping and documentation requirements, Safety audits and regulatory inspections, Preparing safety reports and logs, Role of safety officer in legal cases, Continuous improvement and safety program evaluation.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
