Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The objective of the Certificate in Construction Planning course is to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in construction project planning and scheduling. The course covers creating work breakdown structures (WBS), activity sequencing, resource allocation, timeline development, critical path method (CPM), and progress monitoring.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Fundamentals of Construction Planning: Overview of construction planning and its importance, Roles and responsibilities of a construction planner, Project lifecycle and planning phases, Types of construction plans (master, detailed, resource), Understanding project objectives and scope, Introduction to planning tools and software.

Module 2: Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Activity Definition: Developing Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Defining and sequencing activities, Activity types and durations, Milestones and deliverables identification, Establishing dependencies and constraints, Use of templates and checklists.

Module 3: Scheduling Techniques and Tools: Introduction to scheduling methods (Gantt charts, CPM, PERT), Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling, Float and slack analysis, Resource allocation and leveling, Software tools for scheduling (Primavera, MS Project), Schedule optimization techniques.

Module 4: Resource and Cost Planning: Estimating resource requirements, Resource scheduling and balancing, Cost estimation basics, Budget integration with schedules, Managing material and equipment logistics, Tracking and updating resource usage.

Module 5: Progress Monitoring and Control: Setting baselines and performance measurement, Tracking progress and updating schedules, Managing delays and schedule changes, Reporting and communicating schedule status, Variance analysis and corrective actions, Using Earned Value Management (EVM).

Module 6: Risk Management and Project Coordination: Identifying scheduling risks, Developing risk mitigation plans, Coordinating with project stakeholders, Change management and impact analysis, Documentation and record keeping, Best practices and lessons learned in construction planning.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
