Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The objective of the Certificate in Construction Risk Management course is to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical tools to effectively manage risks throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. The course covers risk identification, qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, risk response planning, and monitoring using industry best practices and standards.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Construction Risk Management: Understanding risk and uncertainty in construction, Types of construction risks, Role and responsibilities of a risk manager, Risk management process overview, Construction project lifecycle and risk points, Legal and regulatory risk considerations.

Module 2: Risk Identification and Assessment: Techniques for risk identification (checklists, interviews, brainstorming), Risk categorization and prioritization, Qualitative risk analysis methods, Quantitative risk analysis basics, Use of risk registers and risk matrices, Stakeholder involvement in risk assessment.

Module 3: Risk Response Planning; Developing risk mitigation strategies, Risk avoidance, transfer, acceptance, and reduction, Contingency planning and reserves, Insurance and bonding in construction, Contractual risk allocation, Integrating risk response with project planning.

Module 4: Risk Monitoring and Control: Implementing risk response plans, Monitoring risk triggers and indicators, Risk tracking tools and software, Change management and risk control, Reporting risk status to stakeholders, Lessons learned and risk documentation.

Module 5: Financial and Legal Risk Management: Cost impact analysis of risks, Managing claims and disputes, Contractual risk clauses and compliance, Insurance policies and coverage, Legal implications of construction risks, Financial risk mitigation techniques.

Module 6: Advanced Topics in Construction Risk: Use of technology in risk management (BIM, software tools), Risk management in mega and complex projects, Crisis management and emergency preparedness, Sustainability and environmental risk considerations, Ethical issues in risk management, Continuous improvement and best practices.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
