Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The Certificate in Construction Safety and Risk Prevention course is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills to ensure safety compliance, prevent accidents, and promote a culture of health and safety on construction sites. Participants will learn about occupational health and safety regulations, risk assessment, hazard identification, safety planning, emergency response, accident investigation, and safety audits.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Introduction to Construction Safety Management: Role and responsibilities of a construction safety manager, Overview of occupational health and safety in construction, Key safety regulations and standards, Safety culture and leadership, Importance of risk management, Trends and innovations in construction safety

Module 2: Safety Regulations and Compliance: Local and international construction safety codes, OSHA, ISO 45001, and other regulatory frameworks, Legal responsibilities of employers and employees, Safety audits and inspections, Documentation and reporting requirements, Compliance strategies and best practices

Module 3: Risk Assessment and Hazard Management: Identifying hazards on construction sites, Risk assessment methodologies, Control measures and mitigation strategies, Job safety analysis (JSA) and safe work procedures, Emergency response planning, Monitoring and reviewing risk controls

Module 4: Safety Training and Workforce Management: Developing and implementing safety training programs, Induction and ongoing safety education, Communication of safety policies and procedures, Engaging workers in safety culture, Supervising safe work practices, Evaluating training effectiveness

Module 5: Incident Management and Investigation: Reporting and recording incidents, Root cause analysis techniques, Investigating accidents and near misses, Corrective and preventive actions, Legal implications and reporting to authorities, Lessons learned and continuous improvement

Module 6: Leadership, Communication, and Professional Development: Leading safety teams and promoting safety culture, Communication with management, clients, and workers, Problem-solving and decision-making in safety management, Ethical practices and professional responsibility, Continuing education and skill enhancement, Career growth and certification pathways

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
