Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or Equivalent.

Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The Certificate in Construction Site Health and Safety course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to ensure a safe and compliant construction work environment. The course covers comprehensive aspects of occupational health and safety, including hazard identification, risk assessment, accident prevention, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance specific to the construction industry.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Construction Health and Safety: Overview of construction industry hazards, Role and responsibilities of a health and safety officer, Importance of occupational safety and health (OSH), Legal frameworks and regulatory standards, Safety culture and ethics in construction, Recent trends and best practices in construction safety

Module 2: Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification: Types of construction hazards (physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic), Risk assessment methods and tools, Hazard identification techniques on site, Accident and near-miss reporting, Prioritization and risk mitigation strategies, Safety audits and inspections

Module 3: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Safety Measures: Types of PPE and proper usage, Selection and maintenance of PPE, Safety signage and communication, Fall protection and scaffolding safety, Machinery and equipment safety protocols, Emergency preparedness and first aid basics

Module 4: Construction Site Safety Management: Site safety planning and supervision, Safety committees and roles, Permit-to-work systems, Safe work procedures (SWPs), Monitoring and reporting safety compliance, Contractor and subcontractor safety coordination

Module 5: Incident Investigation and Emergency Response: Accident investigation process, Root cause analysis techniques, Reporting and documentation procedures, Fire safety and evacuation planning, Handling hazardous materials and spills, Emergency drills and response coordination

Module 6: Occupational Health, Training, and Continuous Improvement: Health hazards and occupational diseases, Ergonomics and worker wellness, Safety training programs and competency development, Monitoring and evaluating safety performance, Implementing continuous improvement strategies, Developing a personal and organizational safety plan

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
