Global Occupational Skill Standard – GOSS ID: GOSS/C/CCSS/V1

Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent.

Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The objective of the Certificate in Construction Site Supervision course is to provide participants with the knowledge and practical skills to effectively oversee daily construction operations. The course covers site management, crew supervision, safety enforcement, quality control, work scheduling, and communication with project stakeholders.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Fundamentals of Construction Supervision: Role and responsibilities of a construction supervisor, Overview of construction project lifecycle, Understanding construction drawings and specifications, Construction methods and materials, Site organization and layout, Communication and reporting skills.

Module 2: Planning and Scheduling: Daily and weekly work planning, Resource allocation and management, Scheduling tools and techniques, Coordination with subcontractors and suppliers, Monitoring progress and productivity, Handling delays and disruptions.

Module 3: Safety Management on Site: Site safety regulations and standards, Hazard identification and risk assessment, Implementing safety plans and procedures, Personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, Conducting safety meetings and toolbox talks, Incident reporting and investigation.

Module 4: Quality Control and Assurance: Understanding quality standards and requirements, Inspecting workmanship and materials, Quality control documentation, Managing non-conformance and corrective actions, Collaboration with quality control teams, Continuous improvement practices.

Module 5: Team Leadership and Communication: Supervising and motivating workforce, Conflict resolution and problem solving, Effective communication techniques, Training and mentoring workers, Maintaining discipline and productivity, Reporting to project managers and stakeholders.

Module 6: Resource and Equipment Management: Managing construction materials and inventory, Equipment scheduling and maintenance, Handling tools and machinery safely, Cost control and budgeting basics, Waste management and site housekeeping, Environmental considerations on site.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
