Objective: The Certificate in Design Thinking in Education course is designed to equip educators and education leaders with the skills and knowledge to apply design thinking methodologies to solve educational challenges and foster innovation in teaching and learning. The course covers the design thinking process—including empathizing, defining problems, ideating, prototyping, and testing—along with strategies for integrating this approach into curriculum design, instructional practices, and school improvement initiatives.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Introduction to Design Thinking in Education: Definition and principles of design thinking, Importance and benefits in education, Overview of the design thinking process, Key mindsets and skills for educators, Differences between design thinking and traditional problem-solving, Case studies of design thinking in educational settings.

Module 2: Empathy and Problem Identification: Understanding empathy and its role in design thinking, Techniques for empathetic observation and interviewing, Identifying user needs and challenges, Defining clear problem statements, Engaging learners and stakeholders in problem identification, Tools for documenting empathy research.

Module 3: Ideation and Creative Thinking: Brainstorming techniques and idea generation, Encouraging creativity and divergent thinking, Selecting and refining ideas, Using collaboration to enhance ideation, Overcoming creative blocks, Incorporating feedback during ideation.

Module 4: Prototyping and Experimentation: Purpose and types of prototypes in education, Creating low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes, Iterative testing and refinement, Engaging learners in prototyping, Managing resources and time for prototyping, Using digital tools for prototyping.

Module 5: Implementation and Evaluation: Planning for implementation in educational contexts, Strategies for scaling and adapting solutions, Measuring effectiveness and impact, Collecting and analyzing feedback, Reflecting and documenting the design process, Making data-informed improvements.

• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
