Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The Certificate in Digital Citizenship & Media Literacy course is designed to equip teachers and education professionals with the knowledge and skills to educate students on responsible, ethical, and critical use of digital technologies and media. The course covers key concepts such as online safety, privacy, cyberbullying prevention, digital footprint management, misinformation and fake news detection, media analysis, and the promotion of positive digital identities.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Foundations of Digital Citizenship: Definition and importance of digital citizenship, Core principles and ethics online, Understanding digital footprints and privacy, Cyberbullying awareness and prevention, Legal and ethical issues in digital environments, Role of educators in fostering digital citizenship.

Module 2: Media Literacy Concepts and Skills: Understanding media messages and purposes, Identifying bias, misinformation, and fake news, Evaluating credibility of digital sources, Analyzing multimedia content, Developing critical thinking skills, Promoting responsible content creation.

Module 3: Online Safety and Security Practices: Protecting personal information online, Safe use of social media and communication tools, Recognizing online threats and scams, Implementing digital safety protocols, Teaching students about password management and security, Promoting respectful and safe online interactions.

Module 4: Integrating Digital Citizenship into Curriculum: Strategies for embedding digital citizenship across subjects, Designing lesson plans on digital ethics and media literacy, Using project-based learning for digital citizenship, Assessing student understanding and skills, Collaborating with families and communities, Leveraging technology tools for teaching digital citizenship.

• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
