Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Basics of Electrical Engineering: Introduction to electricity and its properties, Types of current (AC/DC), Electrical units and measurements (voltage, current, resistance), Ohm’s Law and basic circuit theory, Types of electrical loads (resistive, inductive, capacitive), Safety precautions and PPE for electricians.

Module 2: Electrical Tools and Equipment: Common hand tools and their uses, Power tools for electrical work, Insulation testers and multimeters, Cable cutters, strippers and crimpers, Personal safety tools (gloves, tester pens), Maintenance of tools and equipment.

Module 3: Wiring Systems and Installation: Types of wiring (surface, conduit, casing), Types of cables and their selection, Single-phase and three-phase wiring systems, Installation of switches, sockets, MCBs and DBs, Earthing and grounding methods, Load calculation and circuit design basics.

Module 4: Electrical Machines and Appliances: Basic types of electrical machines (motors, transformers), Working of fans, lights, and domestic appliances, Connection and troubleshooting of household appliances, Preventive maintenance of machines, Power factor and energy saving tips, Motor starter connections and protection devices.

Module 5: Electrical Drawings and Testing: Reading and interpreting electrical diagrams, Symbols used in electrical schematics, Testing continuity, insulation and earthing resistance, Voltage and current measurements, Identifying faults using test equipment, Preparing test reports and documentation.

Module 6: Installation Standards and Safety Regulations: Electrical wiring standards (IS codes), Energy conservation practices, Fire safety and emergency procedures, First aid in electrical accidents, Working at heights and confined spaces, Legal compliance and electrician’s code of conduct.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
