Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The Certificate in Fire Fighting Techniques course is designed to train individuals to respond efficiently and safely to fire emergencies in various environments, including industrial, commercial, and residential settings. The program equips participants with knowledge of fire behavior, fire prevention techniques, and firefighting strategies. Trainees gain hands-on experience in using firefighting equipment, fire extinguishers, hoses, pumps, and protective gear.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Fundamentals of Fire Science: Fire chemistry and combustion process, Classes of fire and fire behavior, Fire tetrahedron and ignition factors, Heat transfer methods (conduction, convection, radiation), Fire growth stages and smoke movement, Fire risk assessment

Module 2: Fire Prevention & Safety Practices: Workplace fire hazards identification, Fire prevention techniques and safety measures, Housekeeping and storage practices, Hot work safety procedures, Fire safety signage and labeling, Inspection and maintenance of fire protection systems

Module 3: Firefighting Equipment & Tools: Types and use of fire extinguishers, Fire hoses and hydrant systems, Fire pumps and water supply systems, Ladders, axes, and rescue tools, Personal protective equipment (PPE), Maintenance and inspection of firefighting equipment

Module 4: Fire Suppression Techniques: Fire extinguishing methods for different fire classes, Foam, CO2, water, and chemical suppression systems, Fire attack strategies, Ventilation and smoke control, Salvage and property protection, Emergency shutdown procedures

Module 5: Emergency Response & Rescue Operations: Roles and responsibilities during fire emergencies, Search and rescue techniques, Evacuation procedures and assembly management, First aid and basic medical response, Fire drills and simulation exercises, Coordination with emergency services

Module 6: Fire Safety Regulations & Management: National and international fire safety codes, Fire safety documentation and record keeping, Safety audits and inspections, Incident reporting and investigation, Training and awareness programs, Continuous improvement in fire safety practices

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
