Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The Certificate in Lean Construction Management course is designed to develop professionals’ ability to apply lean principles and methodologies to construction projects, aiming to maximize value while minimizing waste and inefficiencies. The course covers lean concepts such as the Last Planner System, value stream mapping, continuous improvement, pull planning, and integrated project delivery.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Lean Construction: Principles and philosophy of lean construction, History and evolution of lean in construction, Waste types and identification in construction, Lean vs traditional construction methods, Benefits of lean construction, Role and responsibilities of a lean construction consultant.

Module 2: Lean Tools and Techniques: Value stream mapping (VSM), Last planner system (LPS), Just-in-time (JIT) delivery, 5S workplace organization, Kaizen and continuous improvement, Pull planning and scheduling.

Module 3: Planning and Workflow Optimization: Workflow analysis and process mapping, Identifying bottlenecks and constraints, Lean project scheduling techniques, Collaboration and team integration, Visual management tools, Use of software and digital tools for lean planning.

Module 4: Waste Reduction and Resource Management: Types of construction waste and lean elimination strategies, Material management and inventory control, Labor productivity enhancement, Equipment utilization optimization, Site layout and logistics planning, Environmental and safety considerations.

Module 5: Implementation and Change Management: Developing lean implementation plans, Training and coaching project teams, Overcoming resistance to change, Performance measurement and KPIs, Continuous feedback and improvement loops, Case studies of successful lean implementation.

Module 6: Professional Practice and Sustainability: Lean construction and sustainability integration, Client communication and stakeholder engagement, Legal and contractual implications, Ethical considerations in lean consulting, Documentation and reporting, Career growth and certification maintenance.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
