Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or Equivalent.

Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The Certificate in Meditation Teaching Practices course is designed to provide comprehensive training in various meditation techniques, philosophies, and teaching methodologies. The program covers mindfulness meditation, guided visualization, breathwork, mantra meditation, and stress reduction practices. Students will learn to develop their own meditation practice, understand the science behind meditation benefits, and acquire the skills to lead individual or group meditation sessions effectively.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Foundations of Meditation and its Philosophical Roots: Definition, purpose, and science of meditation, Historical evolution across spiritual traditions (Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, etc.), Types of meditation: concentrative, mindfulness, mantra, and loving-kindness, Differences between meditation, mindfulness, and contemplation, Role of intention, awareness, and consciousness, Ethical foundations of teaching meditation.

Module 2: Core Meditation Techniques and Daily Practice: Breath-focused meditation and body scan awareness, Mantra and japa meditation (including OM and affirmations), Visualization and guided imagery practices, Loving-kindness and compassion-based meditations, Sound and movement-based meditations (chanting, walking meditation), Establishing and deepening personal meditation practice.

Module 3: The Science of Meditation and Mind-Body Connection: Effects of meditation on brain structure and function (neuroplasticity, EEG, MRI studies), Meditation’s role in stress reduction and emotional balance, Influence on the nervous system: sympathetic vs. parasympathetic activity, Immune function, sleep, and physiological health outcomes, Psychological benefits: clarity, resilience, and reduced anxiety, Evidence-based research supporting regular meditation.

Module 4: Teaching Methodology and Facilitation Skills: Developing presence, voice modulation, and confidence as a teacher, Structuring and sequencing meditation sessions, Creating a sacred, inclusive, and distraction-free space, Guiding groups vs. one-on-one meditation instruction, Handling challenges, resistance, or emotional release during sessions, Encouraging student reflection and consistency.

Module 5: Adapting Meditation for Different Populations and Settings: Meditation for children, adolescents, and schools, Corporate meditation and workplace wellness programs, Meditation for seniors and chronic illness support, Trauma-sensitive meditation and inclusivity considerations, Cultural competence and adapting practices respectfully, Customizing meditations based on intention and experience level.

Module 6: Ethics, Professional Practice, and Program Development: Code of conduct and boundaries for meditation teachers, Legal and cultural considerations in spiritual instruction, Building meditation courses, retreats, or online sessions, Marketing and promoting a meditation teaching practice, Collecting feedback, tracking student progress, and refining methods, Certification, continuing education, and community networking.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
