Eligibility: 10th (High School) or Equivalent.

Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The objective of the Certificate in Rebar Installation Techniques course is to provide participants with the technical knowledge and hands-on skills required to fabricate and install reinforcement bars used in concrete construction. The course covers types of rebar, cutting and bending techniques, tying methods, placement standards, safety practices, and quality control.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Rebar Technology: Overview of reinforcing steel in construction, Roles and responsibilities of a rebar technician, Types and grades of rebar, Properties and functions of rebar, Understanding construction drawings and rebar schedules, Safety practices on rebar work sites.

Module 2: Rebar Materials and Handling: Types of rebar materials (steel, epoxy-coated, stainless), Rebar sizes and shapes, Storage and handling procedures, Preventing corrosion and damage, Cutting and bending equipment, Material quality inspection.

Module 3: Rebar Fabrication and Bending: Reading bending schedules and drawings, Rebar bending techniques and machinery, Fabrication of standard shapes and hooks, Custom bending and shaping, Quality control in fabrication, Safety during fabrication operations.

Module 4: Rebar Installation and Placement: Site preparation and layout, Installing rebar according to design, Tying and securing rebar, Splicing and lap splicing methods, Maintaining cover and spacing, Inspection and compliance checks.

Module 5: Concrete Interaction and Safety: Understanding concrete-rebar interaction, Ensuring proper embedment, Coordination with concrete pouring teams, Safety during concrete placement, Preventing displacement and corrosion, Post-placement inspection.

Module 6: Quality Control and Documentation: Inspection procedures and checklist, Non-conformance identification and reporting, Documentation and record keeping, Communication with project teams, Continuous improvement practices, Compliance with industry standards and codes.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
