Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The Certificate in Sustainability Education course is designed to equip educators with the knowledge, skills, and strategies necessary to integrate sustainability principles into educational curricula and school practices. The course covers key concepts such as environmental stewardship, social equity, economic responsibility, and global citizenship, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to sustainability education.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Foundations of Sustainability Education: Definition and principles of sustainability, History and evolution of sustainability education, Global environmental challenges, The role of education in sustainable development, Key sustainability frameworks (e.g., SDGs), Ethical and cultural dimensions of sustainability.

Module 2: Environmental Science and Systems Thinking: Basic ecological concepts and environmental science, Understanding ecosystems and biodiversity, Human impact on natural systems, Introduction to systems thinking and interconnections, Climate change science and effects, Promoting environmental stewardship.

Module 3: Curriculum Design and Instructional Strategies: Integrating sustainability across subjects, Designing interdisciplinary lesson plans, Experiential and place-based learning, Using project-based and inquiry-based approaches, Engaging diverse learners, Assessment strategies for sustainability education.

Module 4: Community Engagement and Partnership Building: Collaborating with local communities and organizations, Service learning and community projects, Advocacy and awareness campaigns, Building sustainable school environments, Engaging families and stakeholders, Developing partnerships for sustainability initiatives.

• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
