Duration: One Month.

Eligibility: 10+2 Grade (Higher Secondary) or Equivalent is required.

Objective: The Certified Adventure Tourism Coordinator course aims to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience required to plan, manage, and lead adventure tourism activities safely and sustainably. The course covers key areas including risk management, customer service, eco-tourism principles, first aid, outdoor leadership, and cultural sensitivity. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Adventure Tourism: Definition and Scope of Adventure Tourism, History and Evolution of Adventure Tourism, Types of Adventure Tourism (Soft vs Hard Adventure), Key Global and Indian Adventure Destinations, Importance of Safety and Sustainability, Role of Adventure Tourism in Local Economies.

Module 2: Adventure Activity Planning and Operations: Planning and Organizing Adventure Activities, Equipment Selection and Maintenance, Risk Assessment and Management, Activity-Specific Operational Guidelines (e.g. trekking, rafting, paragliding), Logistics and Permits Handling, Emergency and Rescue Procedures.

Module 3: Customer Handling and Experience Management: Understanding Tourist Behavior and Expectations, Pre-tour Briefing and Post-tour Feedback, Group Management Techniques, Managing Difficult Situations and Complaints, Cultural Sensitivity and Inclusivity, Enhancing Guest Experience through Storytelling and Local Engagement.

Module 4: Legal, Ethical and Safety Aspects: Adventure Tourism Regulations and Permits in India, Insurance and Liability Management, Environmental Laws and Guidelines, Ethical Practices and Code of Conduct, Wilderness First Aid and CPR, Adventure Tourism Accreditation and Licensing.

Module 5: Marketing and Promotion of Adventure Tourism: Adventure Tourism Branding and Positioning, Social Media and Digital Promotion Strategies, Creating Adventure Packages and Itineraries, Partnerships with Travel Agencies and Online Platforms, Trends and Innovation in Adventure Marketing, Review Management and Online Reputation.

Module 6: Entrepreneurship and Career Development in Adventure Tourism: Business Models in Adventure Tourism, Setting Up an Adventure Tourism Startup, Financial Planning and Budgeting, Career Opportunities and Certification Pathways, Networking with Industry Bodies and Associations, Future Trends and Sustainable Entrepreneurship.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
