Objective:The Certified Cargo Security Specialist course is designed to prepare professionals to safeguard cargo across all modes of transport—air, sea, rail, and road—by implementing effective security measures, protocols, and technologies. The course covers cargo theft prevention, risk assessment, security audits, regulatory frameworks (such as TAPA, C-TPAT, ISPS Code), secure packaging and sealing methods, access control, surveillance systems, and crisis response planning.
Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:
Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.
Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.
Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.
Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.
Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.
Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.
Assessment Modules:
Module 1: Introduction to Cargo Security: Overview of Global Cargo Movement and Risks, Importance of Cargo Security in Supply Chains, Roles and Responsibilities of a Cargo Security Specialist, Common Types of Cargo Theft and Tampering, Legal and Regulatory Framework for Cargo Security, Key Stakeholders in Cargo Protection.
Module 2: Threat Identification and Risk Assessment: Types of Threats to Cargo (Theft, Smuggling, Terrorism), Risk Assessment Methodologies, Identifying Vulnerabilities in Transport Modes, Risk Rating and Prioritization Techniques, Case Studies on Security Breaches, Integration of Risk Assessment into Security Planning.
Module 3: Physical and Procedural Security Measures: Cargo Screening and Inspection Methods, Security Seals and Locks for Containers and Trailers, Access Control in Warehouses and Yards, Secure Packaging and Labeling Practices, Vehicle and Driver Security Procedures, Chain of Custody Documentation.
Module 4: Technology in Cargo Security: Use of GPS and RFID for Cargo Tracking, Surveillance Systems (CCTV, Drones), Alarm and Intrusion Detection Systems, Biometric and Smart Access Technologies, Integration of Security Systems with TMS/WMS, Data Logging and Real-Time Alerts.
Module 5: Regulatory Compliance and International Programs: Compliance with C-TPAT, TAPA, AEO, and ISPS Code, Customs Security Programs and Guidelines, Documentation for Security Clearance and Audits, Training and Certification Requirements, Legal Liabilities and Insurance Considerations, Audit Procedures and Corrective Actions.
Module 6: Emergency Response and Incident Management: Developing a Cargo Security Incident Response Plan, Theft and Tampering Investigation Procedures, Communication Protocols and Reporting Systems, Coordination with Law Enforcement and Customs, Business Continuity and Recovery Planning, Continuous Improvement in Security Practices.
GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

- Number of Questions from each module: 5.
- Language: English.
- Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
- Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
