Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Data Governance Professional course is designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge required to establish and manage effective data governance frameworks within organizations. The course covers key areas such as data quality management, data ownership and stewardship, metadata management, regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), data lifecycle, and policy development.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Introduction to Data Governance: Definition and Importance of Data Governance, Key Principles and Goals, Roles and Responsibilities in Data Governance, Relationship Between Data Governance and Data Management, Data Governance Frameworks Overview, Common Challenges in Data Governance.

Module 2: Data Governance Frameworks and Models: Components of a Data Governance Framework, Popular Models (DAMA-DMBOK, COBIT, etc.), Establishing Governance Policies and Standards, Aligning Frameworks with Business Objectives, Developing a Data Governance Charter, Assessing Maturity Levels in Data Governance.

Module 3: Metadata and Data Quality Management: Understanding Metadata and Its Role in Governance, Metadata Repositories and Catalogs, Defining and Measuring Data Quality, Data Profiling and Cleansing Techniques, Data Quality Rules and Metrics, Monitoring and Reporting Data Quality.

Module 4: Data Stewardship and Ownership: Defining Data Stewardship, Roles of Data Stewards vs. Data Owners, Assigning Accountability and Responsibility, Managing Data Lifecycle and Lineage, Conflict Resolution in Data Ownership, Communication Between Stakeholders.

Module 5: Legal, Compliance, and Risk Management: Understanding Data Privacy Regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), Legal and Regulatory Requirements for Data, Risk Identification and Mitigation Strategies, Data Ethics and Responsible Data Use, Ensuring Compliance Through Governance, Auditing and Monitoring for Regulatory Adherence.

Module 6: Implementation, Tools, and Best Practices: Planning a Data Governance Program, Selecting and Using Governance Tools and Platforms, Building a Data Governance Roadmap, Measuring Program Success and KPIs, Change Management and Adoption Strategies, Preparing for Certification and Career Opportunities.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
