Objective: The Certified Data Protection Officer course is designed to equip professionals with comprehensive knowledge of data protection laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure organizational compliance and protect individuals’ personal data. The course covers the roles and responsibilities of a Data Protection Officer under regulations such as the GDPR, including data subject rights, data processing principles, privacy impact assessments, breach management, and data governance frameworks.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Data Protection and Privacy: Overview of data protection concepts, History and evolution of data privacy laws, Key data protection principles (lawfulness, fairness, transparency), Types of personal data, Roles and responsibilities of a Data Protection Officer (DPO), Overview of global privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).

Module 2: Legal Frameworks and Compliance: Detailed study of GDPR articles and recitals, Other international data protection laws and frameworks, Data subject rights and obligations, Lawful bases for data processing, Cross-border data transfers and adequacy decisions, Penalties, enforcement, and regulatory bodies.

Module 3: Data Protection Governance and Accountability: Developing data protection policies and procedures, Data protection impact assessments (DPIA), Records of processing activities (ROPA), Data breach notification and management, Roles of DPO and data controllers/processors, Implementing privacy by design and by default.

Module 4: Risk Management and Data Security: Identifying and assessing privacy risks, Data security measures and controls, Encryption and anonymization techniques, Managing third-party/vendor risk, Incident response and breach handling, Monitoring and auditing data protection compliance.

Module 5: Training, Awareness, and Communication: Designing and delivering data protection training, Creating awareness programs for employees, Handling data subject access requests (DSAR), Communicating with regulators and stakeholders, Building a data protection culture, Effective privacy communication strategies.

Module 6: Practical Application and Case Studies: Conducting data protection audits, Real-world data breach case studies, Best practices for DPOs in different industries, Emerging trends in data protection, Tools and technologies for privacy management, Preparing for certification exams and ongoing professional development.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
